Beware the Ides of March- or the End of March I should say. . .

We went right into a big project when we got home. Time to paint Lottie's room. We decided on a nice, calming grey.

Kodee was ecstatic about the idea. He loves projects like this.

Getting the border along the ceiling was a bit difficult
Looking good!

And here we are with the finished product. Love it!

Kodee is getting his tonsils out in a few. What a smiley patient! Hope he feels good on the other side.
Coming out of anesthesia is rough!
Poor little IV

First popsicle, totally out of it.

Tired boy.

Lots of rest.
I knew Kodee was going to be in pain, but the week after getting them out was so rough on both of us! Poor kid would wake up in so much pain but then refused his pain meds because it hurt so bad to swallow it. I had to coax Kodee into finally taking his codeine so he would start to feel better but he hated doing it. He would try to play normal with Jaxon and then 2 minutes later he would lay down and be asleep in a minute. He couldn't go to school for 7 days he was so out of it. Things got better when he could just swallow an Ibuprofen pill and that didn't hurt as much.
(After all that pain we have decided that getting the tonsils out was worth it. Kodee stopped snoring at night and slept much better. Because he had better sleep at night he was able to focus better in school. He finished out the year with better grades than the rest of the year!)

Gila Valley Idol came around once again. Three of the girls in my quartet made it through to the finals! Two of them placed in the top 5! Amazing talent!

So proud of these three beauties I have the privilege of teaching! They all went up against the best of the best from the Gila valley and delivered amazing performances. Each of you won in my eyes!!

So glad Kodee has this little guy to help him through this tough time.

Kodee and I are watching Indiana jones and the temple of doom so he can understand what that ride at Disneyland is all about. He's on the edge of his comatose tonsillectomy recovering seat!
One night though got the most of Kodee. I decided to order some takeout from Toni's Kitchen and got pizza for us and spaghetti for Kodee . Oh boy, I should not have done that. Kodee could not eat the food and was so angry that we were eating good food in front of him. He ran around the room crying at the top of his lungs. We had a hard time calming him down.
Jordan figured out what to do. DQ.
All is now right in the world he insisted on the cone even though he will not be able to eat the cone.
So the next day I was sure to buy more popsicles and otter pops.
Lottie LOVES sleeping with anyone else. She can not be alone at night. We never know what bed she's going to wake up in.
Easter Egg Dying Time. Weird how Easter was in March this year. It came really early.
Kodee was trying hard to be part of things.

After awhile, he retreated to the couch again.

EASTER MORNING! Love finding the Easter Baskets. The kids came in my room after they had already found them. I was bummed I couldn't film them looking.
Gemma got glitter pens and a notebook, which she loved.
Kodee got the coolest toy-magnatiles. Building squares and triangles that click together
Jaxon hunting for his.

New summer flipflops!

Jaxon was very pleased with this Star Wars book. Explains all his questions.
Kodee was happy even though he couldn't have his candy for another week.
The Easter Bunny really delivered this year! Everyone was happy!
Hooray for Easter Sunday and new dresses! Pretty girls! Thank you to Grandma Keith for the pink dresses!
Easter Sunday Dinner! Mom outdid herself. She even went all out on the centerpiece!
Seriously- this is my favorite meal of all time! Better than Juniper Takeout.

Getting shots at the doctor's office. 2 for Gemma- 5 for Lottie. Ouch.

Lottie sleeps everywhere. She loves our chair in our bedroom. She was so sleepy after those shots.

The boys love their good buddy Zach Schneider. He's a regular over at our house, kind of like a 5th child. His brothers are with the boys here.

Add the girls to the mix! This was after a cub scout meeting.
