Disneyland Day 3

Last day! Make the most of it!
We did! A little Disneyland- a little California Adventure- all rolled up into one!
The third day was interesting. We thought we had an early pass on Wednesday but it ended up being a Tuesday only deal and we missed the whole thing because we went to CA on Tuesday. So we thought it would be a good idea, since we were up bright and early for our last day to drive over and park ourselves and try to get good spots for the line since a shuttle wasn't leaving our hotel for nearly an hour.

WORST MISTAKE EVER!
First of all, Disney parking is INSANE. And- it's conveniently located right next to our hotel. So after driving in a HUGE circle, in crazy traffic we finally parked. Then had to wait in a huge line to get on a tram to take us into Downtown Disney. Then we had to wait in a line AGAIN to get into the park. It was a nightmare, but we tried not to let it deter our fun.

A few more pics in front of the grand castle.

We decided to run over to hit up Indiana Jones first thing in Adventureland before it got too crowded. Apparently everyone else had the same idea. Of course Indy broke down immediately! So. . .

We went on over to Splash Mountain.

Lottie loved hanging out by the honey pot of Pooh's ride.

We waited for mom and the other kids to ride the mountain first.

Gemma loved it and couldn't wait to take me right back on the ride and show me what it was all about.
Mom and the boys went on to ride the Pooh ride. Gemma and I hopped on that right after Splash. No lines!

There we are!
Right after that it was on to Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Lottie was being so cute as she waited outside the big kid rides.  She didn't mind at all!
Indian was still down, so we ran over to the Nemo Submarine. I also tried to go sign the kids up for Jedi training. MAJOR fail! They were put on a waiting list. Apparently you should do this FIRST thing when you enter the park. The boys were pretty devestated.

Nemo was fun!
Guess what! The disney app said Indiana was up and running- so we immediately headed over there for the adventure of a lifetime. It was a little intense for both of them. And they still let me know that to this day.

Mom and the girls hit up Tarzan's treehouse while we rode Indiana.

Right after mom had a turn on Indiana with the boys, we went to the Tiki Room to cool down. It was nice and relaxing.

On our run back over to Space Mountain, we snapped another castle pic.
Space Mountain again! Gemma is tall enough! She is SO ready to enjoy it this time!
They LOVED it!
Then she rode it AGAIN with me and the boys!

After this we went to try and do the Jedi training but everyone who was on the list showed up. Bummer for the boys. We will learn for next time.

We decided to go have lunch at a fun place. So we made a reservation at the Carnation Cafe and had some ice cream with old Walt as we waited.
I also had another great idea while we waited. We were up for some fast passes and I thought I could make it if I ran over to get fast passes for Grizzly Rapids over in CA. I ran over like my life depended on it. Got the passes! It had just opened that day after months of refurbishment! Horray!

I ran back to the other park and felt like I was going to die, but it was worth it. I'm also sure I burned all the calories I was about to put into my belly!

Lunch was amazing at the cafe! Ari had a great burger, I had an awesome chicken friend steak.
After lunch, we thought it was a good time to run over and ride Small World. It was just as magical as I remember as a kid. It was the first time I've ridden it since I was very young.

It always seems SO HOT when you're lined up in front of the mote.

We loved the Scotland part of the ride!
Next we decided to go meet Minnie and ride Roger Rabbit.

We took a few Toon Town pics.

The boys went with mom to ride the Gadget Coaster one more time.

The girls went with dad to wait in lie for Minnie Mouse. It was a LONG line. Probably 45 minutes. We did this because Roger Rabbit was down and we had to kill some time.

Gemma and Lottie were being SO cute!

Smelling the roses!
Posey poser.

They of course had to try out all of Minnie's furniture
Vanity

Kitchen

So excited to meet her!
TA DA!
Dad got in there too!
Meanwhile mom was holding our line at Roger Rabbits

Such fun stuff by Rogers'

We got great seats for the parade. The band was incredible! Dad would have loved it!

Time for the awesome parade led by Pluto! The kids LOVED it! SO much fun.

After the parade we jetted over to CA to use our coveted fast passes at Grizzly Rapids.

Here is the grizzly rapid bear.

While we were waiting out there we ran into the Webbs again! So fun!

Ami and Gemma!

Lottie was waiting with me while mom road the rapids with the kids

Right after we all rode and cooled off, we went over to Scouts Training course, Redwood forest area. So nice and beautiful. Lottie loved it there and the kids got to run around and be free!
Rock climbing
Zip line

Puddle splashing- Lottie's favorite thing of the trip.

Right after this, we ran back over to DL and I got in line for the Matterhorn with Gemma and Kodee. She was BENT on riding this ride and SO stoked for it.

They loved getting their individual Mickey Ears.
After Matterhorn we got ready for the Paint the Night parade. It was a show stopper. Kodee finally got his huge sucker while we ate hot dogs and corn dogs.

Jaxon chose the Sorcerer mickey ears
Paint the Night parade. So cool!!

Anna and Elsa! They stole the show and the castle was awesome.

Olaf!
Time for some fireworks!

Nice show! The boys also got their light saber they'd been wanting the whole trip.
Way to end a magical vacation!

Goodbye Disneyland! We loved every minute of it!

The next day before we headed out- we had to take a quick dip in the pool!
Felt great on our tired bones. We averaged walking 12-14 miles a day!

We grabbed a yummy Mexican food buffet for lunch on the way home.

Sadly- everyone started puking not long after and the ride home was pretty insane. Ugh. But at least it was fun while it lasted!
