Independance what?

For the 4th of July we put out a flag, recorded Jaxon repeating the Pledge of Allegiance and went and saw fireworks that night. It was a chill day. Jaxon kept asking all day friday and saturday when the fireworks were; he was very excited about them. Oh, and I made this cake. The strawberries were fabulous!



I have been so proud of Jaxon lately. He's switched to a bigger bed, he's fully potty trained (I didn't realize until now how nice it is to buy less diapers), he's helping us around the house more, his talking gets better everyday, and he passed swimming lessons this morning. He is a little fish now. That's a lot for one boy this summer. Way to go Jaxon On a side note, Jaxon is saying really cute expressions finally. He's very aware of when he passes gas and is sure to say "'scuse me." it's so cute after his little toot.

And he loves his brother! Poor Kodee-as of today he's gotten 2 goose eggs on his head, scabs on his nose from falling off the couch, and tons of bug bites this week. Oh, and his last teeth are coming in so he's been crying more than he ever has and we are not used to it. But, he can say lots of words. Yesterday he said, "Where is it?" HA! A complete sentence! And he's not even two. And, look at those smiles





It is so hard to cook this summer.Lots of simple meals. All I want is watermelon Juicy, yummy and easy! I bought this one on Monday, and except for a few bites to Kodee and Jordan, it's been all me.

Jordan's busy getting ready for his show choir camp next Friday and Saturday. (Kelly, his sister, is getting married here on Saturday) It will be a busy day! The kids are going to rehearse at a Women's Club here instead of the high school. They've turned off the air conditioning for the summer. 60 kids and no air=no way!! He's planned out a schedule for every hour from the 9-5 time they will be there.
