The mile stone I've been waiting for!

Ariana threw a little birthday party for me. She made an "event invitation" on facebook thinking that everyone would come based on that, and it unfortunately backfired a little bit. No one from facebook came, bummer. . .BUT. . .I invited a favorite family of mine that I teach lessons to- so the White's came to the Safford pool and celebrated with us! It was fun, and we'll get to have dinner tomorrow with my mom and dad and Nancy so that will be fun too. I LOVE stretching out birthdays- it's even more awesome when it's a birthday "weekend!"





On to the milestone. . .

Jaxon is a swimming MACHINE! I swear, goggles were the magic touch for him. I've been BEGGING him to go under the water and hold his breath and thrash around and kick, but he was so reserved and clingy. Today- he was a different boy! We got some diving rings and he kept diving to the bottom of the pool to get them. I even had him throw them in the 6 ft part, and with a little shove from me from the top, he would swim to the bottom and get the ring! Hooray for a three year old! But the biggest milestone was that he would throw the ring while standing on the side, take a huge jump and get the ring while it was sinking in the water, and then SWIM back to the side. Now mind you this was my goal for him to do by the end of the summer AND IT'S NOT EVEN JULY! Best birthday present ever! The new otter box for my iPhone wasn't bad either! Thanks Ari- I LOVE it!
