Now my mom is gone (I was so sad for a couple of days, it was amazing I got out of bed) and we are finally getting out of sickness and trying to get back to normal. I hate it when Jordan is sick because he barely talks and it's just really boring without his normal, sparkling personality around. I think I'm handling two kids okay, it just takes me longer to accomplish anything. Jordan and I have been pretty frustrated with Jaxon and his whininess due to being two, having teeth come in, and he not being able to tell us what he wants. He's starting to mimic us pretty well. We always ask where his pacifier is or a toy or something of ours that he's hidden. We say, Where is it?" He says, "Weh's it?" It's pretty cute.
I thought I would put pictures up of both boys at four weeks so you can see how different they look. Kodee is getting some chubs especially in his cheeks. We keep saying how Kodee looks like me, then the next day he looks like Jordan more. He's got my hair color and looks like Jordan, but mostly he has his own look. So far he seems to be a content baby. He rarely takes a pacifier especially from me. He gives this look like, "What are you thinking, mom?" He's already trying to hold up his head a lot and I think he's close to smiling at me. I love it when he does it in his sleep. He's a lot louder baby than Jaxon was. When he's in the process of waking up he just basically grunts for a half hour before he's finally awake. It doesn't help that his nose has been plugging up. Loud breather and grunter. His cry is also a lot louder. Thankfully he doesn't do a ton of it. The worst is when He's crying and Jaxon is whining. That is a great test of patience. But, for the past three nights Kodee will sleep a four hour stretch in between feedings, followed by a three hour stretch. That has been very nice. I only hope that continues.
Everyone asks me how Jaxon does with Kodee. He's doing really well and I think he truly likes Kodee. He always says, "baby!" when he cries or he kisses him or tries to give him a pacifier. The only thing I'm worried about is how Jax puts clothes and blankets over his face. So I'll take it off and say no, then he does it again three or four times. I tell him no and how bad that is, but he just smiles or laughs at me. What do I do? I don't want to Jaxon to smother Kodee while I'm getting ready or doing something where I can't watch his every move.
So far I love being a mother of two. Nothing is more rewarding. We'll just wait for those awful days when I want to tear my hair out. For now I can't wait until next weekend: Thanksgiving, my parents com again, and we bless Kodee on the the 30th.

Oh my how quickly they change. They do look a lot alike, but I would say "cookie cutter". Hope you do keep getting the long stretches between feedings!
