Yes that's right folks. The Keith family has had it's first big ER tragedy. Jaxon broke his arm last night! It's a super condular fracture. That's a break right above the elbow through the humorous. Right now it's just in a splint. We will see a specialist next week and they'll let us know if he needs a cast or not. Apparently sometimes these splints are good enough for babies, and their bones can heal fast. It happened because he likes to climb on everything, and he climbed up onto a small little side table next to the couch. He gets up there all the time and has never fallen, but this time he did. We first took him to Urgent Care, and then they didn't know how to read an x ray for baby bones, and they sent us on to the ER. That was pretty frustrating because that's was a waste of a trip to Urgent Care. They actually thought his elbow might be dislocated. At the ER they rolled their eyes when I told them what they said and the doctor told me there is clearly a fracture. No dislocation. It was sad because when the nurse went to take Jax's blood pressure, he grabbed his left arm to put the blood pressure cuff around it, RIGHT WHERE IT WAS BROKEN! The nurse did not listen to a word we told him! I was pretty mad and Jax was LIVID! Oh well, we survived. We got home about 3:30 in the morning and this has been a tough day to say the least.

How sad!! It is inevitable that they will get hurt at some point, but it is still SO sad! His cast takes up his whole little arm! :( You guys are going to the drama reunion right? It will be fun to see you!
Oh how sad! I'm sorry! He sure is cute and looking grown-up!
OH, poor little man!! It's true, though, that babies bones heal really fast, compared to adults, so hopefully he will be back to normal soon!!

I am so sorry! I know how hard it is to have a little one with a broken arm. Kiley broke her arm just before she turned 3, and it was awful. Hang in there. She only had a cast for 4 weeks.

AHHHH THAT SUCKS!I am so sad for baby J and both of you!(it hurts parents worse when their babies get hurt)I would have given that tech a little peice of my mind.I tend to get a little frisky with them people at the hospital when they don't listen.Not difficult...just...frisky.Tatum has had many moments in the er and hospital.she broke her arm when she was 8 months old too.Baby bones heal fast and hopefully he isn't in much pain.Poor guy has a great smile!I have just fallen in love with the little bugger over pictures.Good luck guys!

Sorry to hear about Jaxon's arm. I always worry about that happening to my daughter. It was good to see you in church a couple of weeks ago. It would be fun to get together sometime to catch up.
How sad!! poor little guy! Isn't it just so frusterating when doctors and nurses have NO CLUE!!! we have had a few of those to, so I know how you feel. hope his little arm gets better!
That is the crappiest story I've ever heard! It's kind amazing they don't break bones more often though isn't it? Your poor pregnant wife up until the wee hours of the morning, that would definitely make me throw up many more times than I already do when I'm pregnant. Your poor son!
Poor little guy! I'm so sorry to hear about the tragedy and that the medical attention didn't go as smooth as it could have. =( Hope you guys survived okay! When McKenna gets hurt I think I usually cry more than she does. Hope everyone is feeling better!

That is such a crazy story! Why is it that he still looks adorable, and even more so with a little splint thing around his arm?! They really need to think about it when they open up a clinic that can't read x-rays and when they pull at broken limbs! Wow. I couldn't believe that. Glad that everything is better now, though...
