What do we do when the boys' are at school?
Play games with our faces of course!
I've wanted to go to a great corn maze/pumpkin patch for a long time. October 10 Jordan had something going on so I asked Hollie to go and we met her there. The kids loved it! I did too!
Water pump trays they could race rubbers ducks down
Pump Kodee and Gemma
The boys liked these tractor bikes very much. They kept running back to ride them.
Gemma found one that fit her too!
Lottie loved getting out here to crawl and sit on this bale of hale to touch pumpkins
My beauties in the corn maze. That was a break from the beating sun
This pit of corn kernels was their favorite part I think. They started burying each other in it like it was beach sand.
Miley and Gemma making corn angels
Time to get buried!
Kodee was hilarious while he was getting buried, he laid there the longest and got covered all the way
And..he's done
Little Lottie loved it in there too. I had to watch her to make sure she wasn't actually eating the kernels
The kids pretended Gemma was a black widow and they had to stay out of her way
The three pigs were there. I think this is the pig of the brick house
Gemma by the pig of the house of hay.
The kids wanted a treat so I got them snow cones. They were the lamest, chunkiest snow cones I've ever paid for. I knew I should have gotten the nachos. Can't go wrong with those. We ended up the afternoon/evening at the pumpkin patch letting the kids each choose a pumpkin. They were so excited to choose their own. They were way more than buying one at Walmart, but I loved the whole experience. We will go there (Tolmachoff farms)again next year!
If the back door is open, Lottie will go out. If there is water. she will play in it and get soaked.
One day we tried a Mexican place here called Robertos. The kids had fun with the decor and the fountains in the side garden while we waited for our food.
Silly Kodee. Two suckers at one time. Oy!
Oucha! One week before Kodee's birthday the boys were upstairs wrestling or something. Kodee fell off Jaxon's back and while falling to the floor kicked over the tall fan and it fell on his head. I happened to be downstairs, but when I heard that scream/cry I knew there would be blood. I ran upstairs as fast as I could to the bathroom where he moved so the blood wouldn't get on the carpet. He did get a little bit by the door, but I cleaned it up right away and it came out. We texted a pic of the open wound to Richard and he told us of we had insurance to go to the ER. Jordan stayed home with the other 3 to put them to bed and I took Kodee to the nearest ER, ten minutes away.
We got into a room pretty quickly, but then waited for probably an hour before we saw the doc. She was stitching another little child that needed many more stitches than Kodee.
Here is waiting for stitches after he got the numbing gel. Luckily he didn't need a shot! Kodee is pretty tough. He cries right when the cut happens and a little bit when I say we have to get stitches, but after that he's calm. The doc said she wished every kid would hold as still as he did. (what she didn't know was that this wasn't his first OR second time in a year)
As we were sitting there watching cartoons I had the feeling that this wouldn't be the last time I would be in there with him. I guess getting stitches is his thing in life. I pray it is never life threatening!!
Yes, that is Kodee on the top shelf of the linen closet. The boys were playing in it one night and tried making their beds in it. Kodee actually fell asleep! When I pulled him out he was so sweaty!! So glad I pulled him out. He would have overheated or fallen out.
Gemma got a new bike! Dad loves to spoil her I think. She was esctatic! She did pretty good for her first ride. She just has to stay away from the curb. (Now she's a pro 3 months later)
One night Kodee was begging for some food item so we told him he had to do a bunch of situps before he could have it. He struggled. I think he did 10 or so.
Old man Jaxon. Invisible pen from the fun run. I'm impressed!
Lottie, don't you like the animals?
PHX Zoo. October 12th.
Oddly enough we tried going last year on this exact date and it was the one day that it was closed for some Gala.
Giraffes and long horn cattle
Smile!
The closest we got. We were there in the afternoon so most of the animals were sleeping.
Gemma liked the monkey
Poor Jordan! He started sneezing right as we got to the zoo and never stopped. He had nonstop snot running out of his nose. Thanks for staying babe
Camel ride.
They loved it! It was too short
That is a cool eagle! Too cool though because it didn't raise up or lower down.
Alright Kodee! Fast as a humming bird
She wanted the giraffe but that didn't move either
Nice choice Jaxon!
The kids were sooo happy the whole time and loved the carousel. Until we got off..Jaxon had quite the meltdown as we were leaving. We quite do not understand why. Glad we got over that one!
Concert week rehearsals. I feel very blessed to improve my piano skills and get paid for accompanying too! Gemma just came from dance
Show us a move
Do another one..
After the concert. It turned out splendid. I was pretty nervous. Joanna and Jim came and they enjoyed it. Well done, Jordan!
