Easter Sunday! Lottie and Gemma received matching dresses from Grandma Leinbach. They're so cute.
This is about as good as the Easter Sunday pics could get. You can tell Gemma isn't loving the whole "invalid life" in the stroller.
At long last, our little lovely's "Frozen/Let It Go/Purple" party has arrived. She has been waiting for this day since the boys party back in October. It was very hard for her to understand that she had to wait until April to have a party. Well- Ari went all out. She spent months planning this party!
The piece de resistance. Gemma's Let it Go purple cake with blue frosting. I did spend hours looking at Pinterest for Frozen cake ideas and everything I saw was too fancy, hard or ridiculous so I came up with my own idea. I forgot to level the middle cake layer so it's a little lopsided, but we we just said it's like a real mountain. The second blue from the top is kind of mushy looking because the frosting was too soft. The butter got warm and just wouldn't set right. Oh well. Still tasted good!
After looking at the extravagent decorations online I kept telling myself to keep it easy and cheap.
I was so excited when I saw those big white 3D snowflakes on a blog.
Easy to make, and free!
I did get the blue snowflakes printed on nice glossy paper. I did have more balloons, but the kids started popping them the day before.
I also would have liked the table decor a little something more, but after I saw the kids dish their plates I realized that doesn't matter.
Look at the birthday girl in her new outfit from Nee Nee. It. Was. Perfect!
All the food in the background I got the ideas from the internet.
White chocolate covered strawberries=Anna's frozen heart. Get it?
Probably my favorite treat of the day.
Ice cold water bottles=melted snowman
Pretzel sticks=Sven's antlers
Blue jello cubes=Kristoff's ice blocks
Kid AND adult favorite, it did not stand a chance
Grapes in the freezer=Frozen grapes
turned out so pretty I think
Carrot sticks=Olaf's nose
Ranch dip=Fresh snow
That's right-A Snow cone truck!
Our good friends the Tregaskes' bought this truck as a side job this year and volunteered to come to the party.
Coolest thing at a party I've seen
Gemma chose white coconut and strawberry
An hour before the party Jordan called his students to see if they would dress up and act like Anna and Elsa who came from Arendale to say hi to the birthday girl.
Gemma took about a half hour-so right before the girls left- to warm up.
They look fantastic for having less than an hour to get ready.
Right before the party I set out Gemma's presents on the family room floor and went to prepare the food. A few minutes later Jordan found Gemma unwrapping two of them. He reacted and it scared Gemma so she was a little trepidatious to unwrap this. Poor girl. My Little Pony!

That's better.
Thanks Kennedy and Addie
Present from Mommy
Wait for it..
It's Anna-the barbie!! All hers (Paizli played with it more than she did)
After presents Clint made extra snow and we had the funnest snow fight ever.
I would throw some snow and then leave to warm up. A few minutes later I was running away from Kensey and I turned and Kodee threw some snow right in my face. Jordan was filming me and his phone stopped right when I got hit. Very funny!
Kodee got me good.
People who came: Grandma and grandpa and Great grandma
Kensey Keith
Addie and Kennedy Tregaskes (and Clint and snow cone truck)
Lyndzi Brawley and Gianna, Brichelle and Milah
Emily Konopnicki
It was the perfect party I had planned in my head.
After cleaning up I realized I stressed out too much while planning for no reason
Anything for my dear Gemma sweetheart girl!
We love having you in our family!

On the morning of her 3rd Birthday. April 24th, 2014
She woke up to balloons in her room and hobbled out very excited. She couldn't this present was for her.
A bunch of stuff from Grandma L.
Gemma, you're three. How do you feel?
So happy for this day. Rockin' the cast, too.
And..flamingo sunglasses
Work it!
A cape like Anna's from Grandma L.! Thanks!
Cookie time at grandma's
Such a big girl
The whole month of April the boys were going to play practice twice a week for Sleeping Beauty!
April 29th was their first performance
Nee Nee helped with Kodee's Squirrel head and Jaxon's sash.
They were so cute. Jaxon had a line as a guard. Something about introducing the 3 fairies
Kodee had this part when Aurora sings, I Know You, and danced with the other forest animals. He did great.
Boys will be boys. I love this one!
Kodee closeup
Kodee told me at the beginning of the month he wanted to be a squirrel so he could hold some nuts.
It was a bit of a struggle to hold in my laughter.
How would you respond?
We saw the play three times and loved it.
Way to go on the start of your acting careers, boys!
