Kodee turns 5 and Jaxon 7. Party time!!

A month proir to the boys' birthdays we made a chain for them to cut everyday as a countdown. They were beyond ecstatic. Seeing as I had a brand new baby I wanted the boys' cake and party pretty simple. They asked for a rocket cake so I googled and researched cakes. They were all fancy and complicated in my opinion. When I was at Walmart for the final cake ingredients a few days before Kodee found the perfect sprinkles that were called Galaxy. Done and done!
 The party always ends up being on Jaxon's actual birthday so we decided to give a present to Kodee on his day 2 days before. Kodee is one kid that is so fun to give presents to. He gets so excited no matter what it is. But, this present was quite the nice one..

We had Little Caesar's for dinner. Jaxon was such a sport in letting us have pizza on his birthday. (He just ate leftover chicken n dumplings and was quite content with that.)

 Ta-da! Rocket cake. It didn't take me too long to finish. The flames are torn up fruit by the foot. I love the sprinkles!

 I made a game of pin the flame on the rocket. The kids had fun being blindfolded. We ended up inviting Hayden Farar to the party even though it was a family party year. He's a great kid and the boys loved it!

Jaxon, you are the best oldest brother to Kodee and Gemma. They just adore you as you try to take care of them everyday. You are one big ball of energy and you really have a big heart. You make us so proud by your reading and spelling skills. And now you are taking on piano quite well. The creations you come up with your Legos are phenomenal. We believe you will be some kind of builder. It comes so easily to you.

The years are really starting to fly and I can't believe you are 7!!

Kodee, We have never met a happier boy! When you get excited you start speaking louder and louder. We love to give you things because you are so bright eyed and happy to receive things. You love to ask questions and lots of times I don't even have the answers-your brain goes super fast.

You are the peacekeeper in the family. If Jaxon or Gemma want something you have you give it up so to keep them happy. If Jaxon tries to leave the house you sometimes cry the biggest tears ever. It's so sweet! 

We loved age 4 so we are excited seeing what is in store for you at age 5.
