Utah or bust! Jan. 11-18

For Christmas this year we were planning on driving to Utah to be with my family especially since my sister was due any day with her long-awaited-for first baby. And then we looked at our finances and decided we couldn't do it. It made everyone sad. 

The tiny airport we went out of kept canceling our flight due to the runway being frozen in Ogden. We had some (lots) of time to kill so what do girls do? Go shopping at Target of course. It took us two full days of waiting and a change of airline to get to Utah, but we made it BARELY!

This is after Gemma got over her stomach bug. We missed seeing baby Elizabeth, but this was a good day.

I took Gemma and cousin Benjamin to a fun Bounce House place. It was quite the workout pushing Gemma up all the ladders, but we had a good time.

Pretty little Elizabeth. The red bandage was to push down her head to get rid of liquid under her skin. IT worked!

Elizabeth was the most 'smiliest" newborn I've ever seen. She's only 3 weeks old here.

Gotta have the In N Out! The drive through guy was super cool and gave the kids these hats and stickers. Benjamin showing off.

After Gemma and I got over being sick my parents got it. We missed seeing them for 2 days. I felt so bad. Definitely not our idea of a perfect vacation. At the airport I really didn't want to leave. It was a tearful goodbye for sure. Gemma and I were ready for warmer weather and the boys.

Jordan: While Ariana was gone I got to feel first hand what it was like being a single, full-time working dad. It was CRAZY! Dropping the kids off everyday, making sure they were taken care of, then dinner, jammas, bed. . . .EVERY NIGHT! Phew- sure makes you appreciate such an AWESOME wife as Ari- she truly is incredible. 

One night we watched Ice Age.

Bachelor night without Ari and Gemma. Watching ice age continental drift. Good times. Miss our women.

 Another night we went to Pizza Hut.

Jaxon's jeans shrunk like crazy- he wasn't happy about it.

 We got the kitty to FINALLY use the litter box. Granted it took only a few days of her being locked up in the laundry room. At first she pooped and peed all around the walls behind the washer and dryer, then one day i went in there and saw this little gem:

Kodee was being HILARIOUS while the girls were gone, and I was on FaceBook WAY too much! He said some doozies, here are some of my Facebook quotes I preserved for him to remember his hilariousness:

Kodees humdinger of the night:
K- points to his chest while getting ready for bath "dad, I got small milks"

Me- those are called nipples

Kodee- makes face "I don't like nipples"

Kodee's prayer tonight: "And please bless President Uchtdorf. . ."
What!?!?!? So funny and random.


Kodee-"dad. You better not be mad at Jaxon cuz he's my brother."
Dad-"what does it mean that he's your brother?"
Kodee- "um... That we tell mom on you."

I find it hilarious and endearing that Kodee wants nothing to do with lightning McQueen but is all about Mater. This is one kid that definitely does not judge a book by its cover. He'll make a great friend one day.

She may never be able to leave us again!:) Just kidding- I'm glad she got to go do this with her family and especially see Kim and the baby we've been waiting for for SO LONG! It's too bad she and Gemma were so sick during the trip.
