Gemma is one!

Well, it's almost been over a month from her birthday, but Gemma turned the big ole' 1 on April 24! We could not love this girl anymore! She is the most cuddly, snuggly, sweet baby we've had. She is just crawling, but she can pull herself up on couches and things. She has two front bottom teeth with no more in site. As of three days ago she's done nursing and she pretty much weaned herself. Awesome. Right now she loves milk from a sippy cup, cottage cheese, applesauce, yogurt and anything I eat. She can say mom, da, and hi while waving. Her high pitched voice is co cute. She's not the smiliest or laughiest (I know I made it up) baby, but she's very content and calm for the most part. She's been sleeping 12 or 13 hours at night with a 2 sometimes 3 hour nap in the afternoon. She has to have her pacifier and her blanket with the colored hearts and pink edge. If there's a good beat in music she'll dance to it. She loves her baths! When I stand her up by the bath she huffs and puffs until I can get her in the water. She used to grab all the foam letters and numbers that she could fit in her hands, but recently she loves to put things in cups and take them out again. She loves playing outside and if she gets by dirt she'll most likely sample some. The boys love to take her outside and she loves riding on the car while Jaxon pushes her. Usually he runs pretty fast, but she hangs on and LOVES it!

For her birthday we had a princess/Ariel party. I made a homemade white cake and Jordan helped me frost it the night before. It was quite the process! One of our friends showed us the design on pinterest.

Janeen, Ariel, Amber, Paizli, Brant, and Cassie and Karen came. Cheyenne was there too for a little bit. Gemma got 6 or so new dresses/outfits, an Ariel doll from us, her first piano, and a mickey plate set. THANKS for coming to help celebrate Gemma everyone! Oh, and we tried skyping with my mom and brother while Gemma ate her cake. It only lasted a few minutes. Before we sang to her Jordan made frappes with lime and raspberry sherbet and Sprite. Very tasty. Gemma loved drinking it out of a straw. So cute. Then we had cake. The boys were so excited to blow out her candles. They almost thought it was their birthday.
