Last two weeks

I feel like the boys are in a trouble making stage right now. Two weeks ago I was doing laundry and then I checked something on the computer. Usually the boys follow me into the back room and this time they didn't. I then realized they were being quiet and playing nicely together. That doesn't mean good. I came into the kitchen and there was water flooding onto the floor. I looked to make sure it wasn't coming from outside (we've been getting lots of rain) and it wasn't. I looked up to see that the bathroom light was still on and there was Jaxon on the sink playing and Kodee standing in lots of water coming from an overflowing toilet. My jaw dropped! He had flushed a roll of toilet paper and started flooding the place. I quickly turned off the water supply so the toilet would stop overflowing. Then I thought, "Where do I start?" I looked down the hallway to see how far the water was going. It had just reached Kodee's carpet so I grabbed a towel and put it on that. I grabbed every towel in the house and spread them over the kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and part of the living room. After that I was stuck so I called for help. That took 25 minutes to come. I felt so helpless and alone and Kodee kept slipping all over. I was going to take them to a friends house, but then I couldn't find the van keys. I got scared for a minute because the last time I saw them Jaxon had them. First thought-they better not be in the toilet. An hour and a half later I found them in a ball blowing toy. Needless to say, the boys were not taken anywhere. I broke down and cried while I waited for help. Jaxon just kept following me and asking me why I was crying. I was a mess. Kodee was soaking wet and Jaxon was confused. I fished all the toilet paper I could and finally Jordan's parents and sister came over. They were impressed that I was able to get almost all of it cleaned up. They finished drying the floor and dad unplugged the toilet. We are all glad the cardboard tube wasn't in there. Jordan's mom took all my towels home to wash them because our washer was acting funny. She called later that night to say her washer was on the fritz. They had to get a new one entirely the next evening while ours started working better. It was so nice of her to still wash all my towels and bath rug. I know it could have been a lot worse and ruined lots more things, I just hope that doesn't happen EVER again!
Last night I was making dinner and Jaxon came in the kitchen saying how he broke something. I tried to figure out what he meant and then I realized he wanted me to go to our room. The dresser was half on the bed half in the air. All of the stuff on top was on the floor intermingled with clothes and the drawers were sticking out. While I tried to get the drawers back in and the dresser back up the boys came in and started playing with the things that were on the floor. Kodee had a handful of pennies in hand, and I imagined them in his mouth. So I kicked the boys out and told myself I would clean it later. Jordan ended cleaning it up bless his heart. For the last week he's had strep throat and the aches. He finally went to the dr. on Monday, but only after he taught all last week and we went to Tucson for Regional choir auditions. While he was still "contagious" he cancelled lessons on Monday and took off yesterday to try and get better. Poor guy can't shake it.
Regionals went really well. All the kids were more prepared than last year and they all did well. They all improved on their sight reading scores. 33 tried out and 10 made it. 7 guys and 3 girls. One of them got the 1st chair for tenor and another for alto chair. That's awesome that they could get the best scores even over kids from Tucson.
We had a fun day, (especially for me taking a break away from the boys, thanks mom!) It was funny because all of Jordan's students said he was more chill with me around and that I should come to school with him everyday. While that may be true it must also be from being so sick. He has not been himself the last week. We are all very proud of all the students for their hard work.
In other news, Jordan was asked to be in the Celestial room choir for the Gila Valley Temple dedication. That's great because only 20 people are in that choir. He's excited. I was called to be in the Cornerstone choir. This choir is not as intense, but I'm really excited as well. It will be fun to be apart of something so historic.
Kodee-still not walking; climbing everything though. He has several words: banana, bottle, mil (milk), nigh-nigh, more, hi, bye, baby, doggie, and a song that sounds like, "Bee-taw, bee-taw, bee-taw, ah -way, ah-way. It's cute! He loves to be on our bed and just rolls around and throws himself around. He loves to eat; especially everything that we eat. He'll start eating out of a bowl or plate, but halfway through eating he dumps his food on the tray and throws his bowl onto the floor. That mess is always fun.

I love it when Jaxon gets in a hat mood. He doesn't care if they are on right either.

Jaxon- still learning how to say more and more words everyday. Recently has become a puzzle genius. Thank you dollar store. The other night for FHE we sang the new primary song, "I know that my Savior loves me." He sang with me and is learning it; was awesome to hear. He's doing pretty good in Sunbeams. And he's learning. It's fun to see what he brings home from preschool and church. He is always so proud of what he makes. He has this thing where he only wants me to put him to bed. So on those nights that Jordan actually does try to put him to bed I always end up going in there later to put him back to bed. He's also waking up in the middle of the night so I have to put him back to sleep. Those are always rough nights and mornings to get out of bed. Ugh! Today he put mascara on him and Kodee while I was in the shower. They were matching clothes and make-up. Here's to 2 more weeks of survival! Here-here! Or is it hear-hear?

LOL You do have a pair of pistols, don't you? Hang in there, and just curse them each with 6 just like they were some day . . . remembering of course that you will be babysitting ;-}

I have been know to attach furniture to the walls, just for this reason . . in fact, I still have some attached for the safety of the little climbers that keep joining our family!

I'm glad to have such good company in the NAUGHTY kid club. Our little Garrett has been a terror for a while now. His brothers usually think he's got such a great idea they'll jump in to help in his naughty endeavors. Garrett is just getting over strep throat too. He came down with it about the time of Regional Choir tryouts. Hmmmm...I wonder if there's a connect. :) His neck swelled up so badly we thought he had a neck injury; fun night in the E.R. for that one. Hang in there, hope Jordan feels better soon and that you guys DON'T catch it.
