So Ari and I are really into those cooking challenge shows. Right now we're currently juggling The Next Food Network Star and Top Chef Masters. Both are amazing and as I watch them, I always wonder if I could ever do anything like that. . .well tonight we did! And under 20 minutes I might add.
Here's what you need:
Hillshire farms all beef smoked sausage (this is the star of the dish)
Fresh Red and Green Bell Peppers
Cubed Fresh Mozzarella
Jasmine Rice
Sizzle the above ingredients above stir-fry style and at the last minute add the fresh mozz.
The sauce that perfected the meal tonight:
1 cup ketchup
1 tsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. Hoysin sauce
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. rice vinegar (or white)
pinch of crushed red pepper
salt and pepper to taste
(I went for an asian inspired sauce and it knocked our socks off.) Even Jax couldn't get enough. Add the sauce to your peppers and sausage and serve over rice. It's magical. Your pallet will thank you! Try it out and let us know what you think!

This looks like a really popular Hungarian meal that I learned while over there. It's called lecso and it is sooooo yummy. Peppers, onions, sausage, and a lot of spices. Tons of paprika! Change of plans: I know what we're eating for dinner tomorrow.
That looks so yummy, I am thinking that you need to invite us over for that sometime!!!
Wow! You guys have been busy! The boys are getting so cute and your dinner looks yummy. You can come and take over at my house anytime...we are tending toward hotdogs on plain bread these days!
yummy!! We made this for dinner tonight and it was yummy!!
We love the food network as well - it always inspires us to whip up something with a little more pizzaz. It looks great! Good job on the meal - and your boys are so darn cute! I hope that you are enjoying the remainder of the summer.
