At first when I walked outside I could only see those little papers in the ground, and I thought, how cute!, the students love Jordan! Then I saw the toilet paper and my mouth dropped open. Jaxon had a blast pulling the sticks from the ground and putting them in his dirt pile. I ran and got Jordan and told him to see the surprise in the front yard. He came out, looked a little bit, and went back to bed.(He was sick) Some of the notes were cute and said,"We love your Mr. Keith." Others said things like, "I bet it stinks you have to clean this up!." Jaxon got most of the sticks and I started on the tp. It wasn't that bad because the girls who did it (they fessed up on Facebook) got extra strong, quality tp so that stuff was easy to pull out of the trees and bushes. I was done cleaning in a wink.
Tomorrow is the last day of school and I couldn't be happier. It's been so nice to have Jordan back and not so focused on school or concerts. He's also done with private lessons for the summer so our house has been less crazy. Today we found out he passed his last class with flying colors in order to get his teaching certificate. He's worked so hard on teaching AND taking classes these last two years; I'm so proud of him.
During the last couple of months I've just been supporting Jordan and taking care of my boys. We've been having a speech therapist come for a few months so I've been working with Jaxon to try to learn and say more words. He's improved a lot. He's finally saying two or three words together like, "Where is it?, There it is! Where's shoes?" Since the therapist has come I've realized how hard it can be to learn words and then actually say them. I've also realized that's why Jaxon has been extra hard this past year and a half because he gets frustrated that he can't communicate with me and I with him. We are finally getting some where and our therapist is positive that he will catch up just fine. We've been a lot happier now that he understands more words and says more.
Kodee is as cute as ever! He's sitting up now. Not crawling yet. His head is just too heavy. We're coming to a tough spot here though because he's almost outgrown the bassinet, but we're so afraid to put him in his real crib in Jaxon's room. We're afraid they'll wake each other up. If one is asleep the other is not and cries and wakes the sleeping one up. One night we put Kodee in his bed after Jaxon was asleep and Kodee had been asleep a while. It worked fine, but I couldn't sleep just waiting for one of the boys to wake up. The biggest reason of all is Jaxon likes to climb in Kodee's crib and play. He also likes to smother the baby with pillows on our bed. We're just so afraid of Jaxon smothering Kodee without us knowing it. Does anybody have advice? How did you put two small children in a room at once?
Having two boys has been an adjustment, but it's been so amazing. I have really enjoyed playing with my boys for the last couple of months. Jaxon does adore Kodee even though he does the actions said above. I can tell he can't wait when Kodee will be able to move around and play with him more. So, in between Jaxon's obsession with,"CHOO CHOO'S" and Kodee's smiles there are good times happening in our house.
Last night Grandma Keith took the boys for the evening so Jordan and I could have a quiet, relaxing house. When she came back the boys came up in these cute, huge PJ shirts with the biggest smiles on their faces. I love really big shirts for little children. I think it's so cute! It was amazing I got both boys to look and smile at the same time this morning.
I also think, they look nothing alike. Pretty funny!

They both look so different from each other. Jaxon looks so old with his haircut, and Kodee is sooo cute! Love his smile!! Sounds like things are good. Tell Jordan congrats on his hard work. I'm glad he's doing so well, and that he loves teaching and the kids like him too. Enjoy the time you have together.....before farm season. (is he still doing that?) Sounds like your good, hang in there with two under two!!! So Fun! :) P.S. Wish I had advice on the sleeping thing
The TP- isn't it nice to be liked? And I agree, I don't think your boys look much alike! Sorry I have no bed advice. I have no experience. So Chad tells me you guys may be visiting this weekend? That would be awesome!
Well congrats to Jordon for all the hard work, congrats to you for helping him get there . . . they couldn't do it with out us girls and congrats to Jaxon of learning to use sentences! My advice is GO GET EAR PLUGS! Now that he can string thsoe words together, he will have LOTS to say, and say, and say. They have a lot stored up, at least that is how it's been with Mariah's little guys. Of course they will go at the same time and want you to respond, at the same time ;-)
Holy Hannah, I can't believe how big your little Kodee is. Time flies.
