Here's a great new way to dye eggs that I read in a magazine. Take old neckties and use them to dye the egg. Just wrap it tight around a raw egg, then boil the egg for 10 minutes with the tie wrapped around it. It was really cool!
We had a primary activity this Saturday and Jax had a blast. He loved pretending to give a talk, or pray, or whatever he was doing at the primary microphone.
He also loved hunting for eggs out in the church yard with the big kids!
What a fun weekend we've had. Joanna's family came down and Jax got to play all day yesterday with Brenna!! They have so much fun together. They even got to have a little Easter Egg Hunt (in our FREEZING 50 degree windy, blustery weather.) It stunk- we've had such beautiful weather and then the day we've planned all these fun Easter activities, the weather ruined it with a freezing drizzly rain. The easter bunny still tried to work his magic hiding eggs out in the yard, but it was wet and cold.
Brenna was so cute with her eggs. She very carefully would place them in her basket, and then prance around like a Disney Princess character looking for her next egg. Jax on the other hand ruffed around and when he'd find an egg he'd immediately throw it as hard as he could (no matter if it was real or not) or he'd try to break open the plastic ones to see if there was anything worth eating inside. He ate more candy that day than I think he has in his whole life combined. And he's a cheek horder, so he tries to fit as much as he can in his cheeks and keep it there.
Brenna's basket looked so perfect after finding the eggs. Jaxon's was a mess. You can tell who's is who's.
Grandma gave him his first Pez candy dispenser the night before, he loved that SO MUCH!
As for the rest of us this last week I had choir tryouts- and there was such a good turn out. I even had a mandatory dance audition, to make sure that the kids have a somewhat sense of rhythm. It was pretty competitive, and they all did a such a great job.
Now we're in crazy-crash-planning mode for our final end-of-the-year performances. Little Mermaid, Enchanted, and Footloose soon to be coming your way. Let's hope it all goes well!
Ari's been trying to get some sunflowers to grow in the backyard. She spent hours preparing her little plot of earth and getting it all ready. She had about 5 or so sprout up, and one that was really growing fast. What did Jaxon do? Why he plucked up every single one of those sprouting flowers. So sad! Ari was in mourning, she worked so hard on those. I guess he's just too young for us to try and do that yet. Good effort though, Air.
Jaxon got new, big-boy bedding. Handy Manny! He's loving it and sleeping in his bed better than ever. I'm so glad we're past that transition, it was a little rough!
Kodee is becoming a drinking/feeding monster. I think it's time for us to start the rice cereal because he is not acting satisfied, ever! He still has the cutest smile, and biggest blue eyes of all time!
I can't believe how fast the end of the year is coming up. Things are wrapping up way too quickly. We are ready for a little summer break though. We're starting to look for another house to rent, one that's not on such a busy street. If anyone has any ideas, let us know. We'd prefer to stay in Safford. We love our 6th ward, so that would be first choice. But we are willing to venture over to Thatcher if we can't find anything.
The cutest boys ever!!
Love you all- and happy easter!! He lives!!

Wow! Love the dyed eggs, love all the pictures you posted and love the new background. I can tell that Jaxon and Kodee are getting bigger. They're growing too fast.
Well the Kool-aid was pretty entertaining, BUT these boys are way cuter! I can't believe how much Kodee has changed, guess it happens to the best of us!
Brianna is giong throughgt all that end of year stuff too and has just - weeks for her last class so she is really having to hang in there! Good Luck to both of you!
Good to see we weren't the only crazy parents with our kids in the freezing rain hunting for eggs. :-) Kids don't really seem to notice temperature though. Cute pictures! Looks like you guys had a great Easter.
