Let's see. We left you off at Valentine's Day. If I do say so myself, I felt like I TOTALLY scored on that one. What happened the next day was tragic- I became sicker than I have been all year. That Sunday I went to church feeling just fine. When I got home I was hit majorly. I got in bed and shivered with the chills and fever for about 3 days (totally screwing up my President's Day Vacay!) It felt like it took me about a week after that to completely become my self again. It was like trying to crawl out of this black hole of sickness. Did not like it one bit. . .and I think my student's got pretty sick of watching Disney movies in class. That's when you know you got some hardcore singers, when they complain about having to watch a movie and not being able to rehearse. I love it!
I took my students to Regionals last week and they loved it! Dr. Lunt was the director, so it was an awesome experience for them. We went to Olive Garden and laser tagging that night. I was trying to be the cool teacher that let them go out and do stuff, but I don't think I've ever been so exhausted.
Jaxon has been a complete handful these past few weeks. Where do we even begin. We had him assessed for speech therapy, because we're a bit concerned that he's still not using very many words. The person who came and watched him said that he's very smart, that he has great cognitive skills, and problem solving skills. She suspects his speech will take off any day. And it has. . .it was like he needed that little boost. In the past 2 weeks he's started saying phrases like "I gotta go," "Outside," "daddy," is becoming much clearer, "all done" (this is the phrase that drives us crazy because he says it repeatedly.) He says "thank you." Those are all pretty new.
On his terrorizing side, he's not disappointing us. He dumped a whole bottle of extra-concentrated Tide liquid detergent in the bottom of our coat closet, in our shoe basket. His tantrums can be heard for miles it seems. He loves to be sneaky and tricky and do things he knows he shouldn't do. . . should we be worried?
He loved the balloons from Ari's Valentines present. He towed them around for days. Till all the helium was gone.
Kodee is the cutest ever. He's discovered his feet and toes recently and cannot get them out of his mouth. He lights up whenever he sees Ari or me and is always ready with a smile that looks like it's going to break his face. He LOVES to be naked, and the second we start to take his clothes off for a bath, or changing him for bed, he just starts kicking his feet, squirming, and squealing. No matter what Jaxon does to him, he smiles. We might find Jax trying to pick him up with his feet, leaving his head on the floor, but Kodee is just excited to be part of the action. He just didn't like it when Jax pushed him off of the couch onto his face on the hard, cold, tile floor. That was pretty shocking. Don't worry, he's ok.

Bath-time Buddies!
Ari is keeping her sanity, despite an incredibly busy husband, and demanding kids. We know it only gets crazier adding to the mix from this point and have vowed to never have 2 in diapers at the same time again. She's an awesome chef and listening ear. She never gets tired of me telling her about my days. It's so great to have someone to vent to.
We're loving our sunday school calling. This past Saturday we took our kids to the duck ponds for a picnic. They had a blast, and so did Jaxon!
We'll try to keep up more than we have! Spring Break here we come!!!

We would love to see you guys over spring break!!! If we're in town.... when exactly are you planning on coming?
Your family is too cute!! I love the pics with Kodee holding his little foot. These past couple of months have been crazy for us too...must be something going around like a cold. Sorry you were sick by the way. If it makes you feel any better my nose is STILL stuffed from a head cold I had weeks ago. When are you gonna send me a copy of the Celine Dion skit?? I need it! It completes me! Glad all is well with you.
