Last night the middle school sent our kids to Mesa to see the Lion King. It was incredible! The kids loved it and I know it will inspire them to be better singers and musicians. All of the band/orchestra/choir members were able to go from last semester. I drove a van of some really great students. They gave me a Monster to drink on the way home. Those things are crazy! I was wired till about 4 in the morning. But it was good for the drive, cause I was so alert. We didn't get home till about 2:30ish. Yikes! It was worth it though. I saw Lion King on Broadway back in '03 and I think this cast was even better than the one on Broadway. Anyone who has not seen this should definitely try and go!

ironic you mentioned that because having only 6 more months here in ny we have been told we have to see lion king before we go. maybe we will.

I LOVE the costuming in productions like this! Wouldn't that be the greatest job? Glad that you got to go ... every family needs a little shot of culture once in a while!
Wow Jordo, you with a Monster drink, that could be both scary, interesting, and hilarious all at the same time. I am so jealous about the lion king.
