We Dreamed of a White Christmas. . .And We GOT IT!!

LOVE LOVE LLLLLOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEE Utah weather. The best part about it is, we get to leave it when we go back! This is what we drove into. . .

We're so glad we were able to come up and spend Christmas with Ari's family in South Jordan Utah!

One of the first things we did was go to church with Grandma and Grandpa. . .in fact, Kodee and Grandma matched!

We decided to brave the snow the next day and go see my good friend, Shalise in Syracuse. The blizzard was a pounding, but we arrived just in time for some yummy chicken pot pie. I swear, the girl could run her own cooking show on the Food Network. Em and Jax and Kodee loved playing, and posed quite "cutely" for the camera.

We've had so much fun just relaxing and chilling with the family. Ari and Kim have been busy making chocolates, I've been busy cross stitching a nativity scene I'm working on, Kodee's busy chubbin' around, and Jax is busy terrorizing (he does a great job of that!)

We knew we had to hit up Temple Square while we were here. We decided to take the train. Jax LOVED it, (on the way up) the way back he was tired and cold, and pretty cranky. We had a blast seeing all the lights, and it felt very adventurous taking the baby and the toddler, just the two of us, on a train. Ari carried Kodee in a snuggli, and I carried Jax. I'm glad she didn't slip. I did and almost killed Jax and I. Luckily we're ok!

Next up. . .Christmas morning! Boy was it a good one!

My favorite part was getting a new digital camera!!! Finally!!! It's got quite a story. No more crappy photos on our blog, but nice shnazzy CLEAR, pictures. . .I know you can't wait!

Good bye old camera!! You old brick of a beast! We had you from 2004 on, you've been good to us. But we're ready for a technology upgrade!

Hello new camera- and yes you are cool cause you are endorsed by Ashton Kutcher. J/k!

See the difference in quality of photo?? Obviously the new camera took the picture of the old camera.

So Christmas morning. Jaxon LOVES his "Little People" race car truck. He is literally connected to it, so Santa did a good job!

Jaxon with ALL THE PRESENTS!! Kim and Dave came over to open presents with us, so we waited for them. Once Jax had the truck though, he wasn't much interested in opening anything else. We got him tons of new cool clothes from Kid to Kid, so he's quite the stylin' dude now. He also liked to hide under this chair while we were opening gifts.

Also in there, a cool new jacket we got him.

Kodee was pretty much like this. It's funny cause with Jax's first Christmas we stuffed his stocking with pacifiers, and baby stuff. Kodee had, well nothing from us in his stocking, and he got a couple of shirts from us from Kid to Kid. Luckily the grand's got him some cute books.

Ari thoroughly enjoyed opening her presents. Tales from Beedle the Barth was a hit obviously. She also got a cool new hair dryer and curling iron. But the big present for us both was the Nikon camera.

We got awesome homemade stuff from Roseann. She's amazingly crafty.

But the highlight of the day was when mom and dad opened their calendar and book we made them. We took pictures from our trip this summer and made a memory book, and then a calendar that was made on Apple for birthdays/anniversaries, etc. They LOVED it, and gave us just the reaction we'd hoped for.

I played my first game of Settlers, and I must admit, I was surprised by how much I liked it. . .I can see myself really getting into it.

Later on Kevin's family came over. We were excited, but not sure how Jax and him would share Jax's new toys. They did GREAT. In fact, Jax loved pushing him around on it.

Kim had a good time pushing Jax around too!

After that everyone went out and played in the snow. Kim and Dave built a great snowman who was gracious enough to pose for pictures.

We also put up luminaries up and down the street. Cold, but a lot of fun. It looks awesome in the snow!

Jax was awful cold and didn't last long.

All in all it was a great Christmas, and BOY did we pass out that night! I was ready for my long winter's nap.

I found your blog while searching "making chocolates" online. You may be interested in a DVD that teaches you how to make gourmet chocolate. I put the URL under my name on this post so you don't have to type it in. www.making-chocolates.com
