Whew! We Made it!

Wow you guys, these past two weeks have been INSANE! I'm so excited and happy to take a breather. Kodee is adapting very well to the world. His brother LOVES him to pieces but every once in a while we'll catch an annoyed glare in his direction. That's when he runs to us and wants loves and hugs, to get the attention he feels he's lacking.

So far Kodee is a pooping machine.

He usually manages to produce the second we've changed a diaper. So, diapers are non-stop continuous for him. Already his personality is so different than Jaxon's. When he's hungry, he will let you know. That boy can WAIL, Jax was a lot quieter. But when Kodee's good, he's an angel. We're really hoping he'll be the chill one!! He's been sleeping pretty good through the night. He definitely prefers to sleep in bed with us. He won't last very long in the bassinet, bouncer, or car seat. Jaxon on the other hand LIVED in his car seat the first few weeks. All in all, Kodee's little spirit is definitely what we were missing in this fine Keith home. He's a perfect addition to our personalities.

Nance, this is to show you the cute Boppy Bouncer we got for him. Thanks so much! He LOVES it and lives in it!

Kodee's first bath!!

Jaxon. . .well, he's adapting. With mom being a little out of commission, and Grandma and Grandpa Leinbach helping out he's been better than we thought he would. He's really grown attached to his Leinbach grandparents. They do such a great job with him. He definitely needs to get out of the house from time to time and "see the world." He loves darting in the opposite direction that you tell him to go.

Ari has been doing a great job adapting to being a mother of two.
Her life is all Kodee right now. She's so sweet to him, and I can tell her heart has doubled to love him just as much as Jax. It's amazing how the heart can do that, just double in capacity instantly. She's becoming her old self again, she's one lucky girl that nursing is "so good to her" if you know what I mean:) Some new mothers who just had babies hate her when they see her. That darn metabolism of hers, at least someone in the family has it.

As for me. . . .wow. The fall concerts are over. Right after Kodee was born I had an all school Safford reunion at the high school, then a middle school concert the next Tuesday, then a joint band/orchestra/choir high school concert on the following wednesday, and then the FOLLOWING wednesday, our HUGE full 1 and a half hour fall choir concert. Wow, that was so much work bottled up in those two weeks, I don't think I'll ever do that again. The concerts went great. For the most part the kids remembered everything and didn't pull "surprises" on me. There were just a couple sound issues/mic issues, but the sound guy has assured our next concert will be AMAZING, he apologized for his mistakes. I got some wonderful compliments. The superintendent told me I have "exceeded their expectations, and have taken the choirs and boosted them to a level they never thought possible so fast!" Yea! I know it's only going to get better. I'm already STOKED for Christmas and have a couple amazing ideas up my sleeve. I'm already working on a "Where Are You Christmas?" arrangement (Faith HIll) for my ladies choir, and it's going to be STUPID SICK! (Can you believe that's the kids way of saying, "really good right now?")

Bel Canto Girls!
Taste of Sound (Show Choir)

Jax was entranced by the girl's quartet practing at our house!!

Hallow's Eve was a BLAST here at the Keith household.
Family Activity Carving Pumpkins!!

Superman!

Trunk or Treatin' a the Stake Center. Ari is dressed as a woman who just had a baby. Jax's first ever "trick or treating" moment. He did so good. Never said thank you or trick or treat, but he could sure reach and grab that candy. Sometimes more than one. Oops.

Jax absolutely REFUSED to wear his Duck costume from last year. I guess he thought he was above it. It was a lot like Ralphie wearing the pink bunny suit in "Christmas Story." We had to settle for his Superman pajamas.

Sorry, you'll have to watch these sideways, I can't figure out how to rotate them.

Kodee made the perfect pea pod. And I of course thought it would be hilarious to be a "Thatcher Eagle Graduate." My kids at school did not think it was so funny. They said I should be a "dead" Thatcher Eagle Graduate and have a knife stuck in my chest that said "Safford Bulldogs." I thought that was a little gruesome, but props for creativity.

Decorating Halloween cookies with Grandma Roseann

Well, Grandpa Leinbach left this morning, so it's all up to me and Grandma now. We will miss you Dad!!! Now I have to get going a million miles per hour on Christmas Planning. I'm also starting two online classes on Monday. Does life ever get any easier? Probably not.

Love you all!

Glad to finally hear abut your concerts. Brianna just got through a couple while getting everything going on "Grease" which they will be doing in January. Sounds like it is all going much smoother than last year with the Pajama Game.

Let us know when you will be doing your Christmas concerts and we may use it for a good excuse to come on over!

Looks like you guys had a great halloween! I am glad that you have survived such a busy time, now if we can all take a quick breath and get ready for the craziness of the rest of the holidays :) Your family looks great! It is so weird that all our families are getting bigger and we are all turning into real grown-ups!

So glad to hear things are going so well! Kodee looks so much like Jaxon and so much like Jordan! What a cutie! I hope your Christmas concert is STUPID SICK!!:)

BTW Our camera is nothing special. It's a Canon SD1000 Digital Elf. The pictures you're impressed with may be from my sister's camera. Her camera is super fancy and super super expensive. And she's really into photography so she takes nice pictures.

Congratulations on your new little boy! I love your blog Jordan and didn't realize you were on blogspot. It's so much better than myspace. I had to stop in and say hi and tell you what a gorgeous family you have! You sound like you have a really great life!
