Ari's mom and dad came on down to the good old Gila Valley this week to pay a visit, and see our new house. We had a good time with them. Jaxon especially loves when Grandpa and Grandma come around. We were able to get tons of stuff done while they were here: we planted flowers, fertilized the lawn, got some cool sprinkler heads for the lawn (almost like an automatic sprinkler system), we put a shelf together in our bedroom for our crazy amount of books we have, and got a new small area rug for the front family room.
It was great because Ari, her mom, and dad were able to come by and watch me teach my "Taste of Sound" class. That's the first time anyone in my family has seen me teach. I thought I'd be all self conscious, but it actually kind of fueled me, and I think I gave them a good show and a typical day of what my teaching is like.
We ended the trip by heading up to Mt. Graham and taking them to Wet Canyon for a little picnic next to the creek. Jaxon loved the water, and the little water falls. We seriously need to keep this kid on a leash! He'd go right over the edge of a cliff if we weren't watching. Luckily we never let him out of our sight, so don't worry! Till next week, have a good one and enjoy Labor Day. I know I will be doing as little "labor" as possible!! :)

Jaxon enjoying a good book and movie at the same time. He's his father's son!

Jax is a mountain man (Bear Grills) in the making. I think he secretly wishes we lived in the hills and ran wild and free. (I know I do. . .)

A family shot at our "bee-utiful" picnic. Yes that's right, there were lots of bees! Luckily, no one was stung.
