September Happenings in Thatcher

Labor Day weekend= CAMPING!!
The boys favorite time of year (besides Christmas)
We splurged and rented this here boat.
The kids Loved it!!
Rowing is harder than we thought it would be
Gemma was so funny!
Here's another one
Kodee got to try steering
Jaxon wanted to drive the whole time
Kodee and Gemma are sea sick....ugh
JK
It was very cold and rainy this day
The lake was still pretty
Gemma all snug in her almost airless air mattress
Kodee was out like a light
Lottie-She's sleeping now, but don't be fooled.
When we came to bed she cried out every hour
If I moved her she would cry out again
The first night she woke up at 3am ready to play. She was probably up until 5. Worst night ever!!
The kids woke up ready to play in the already built fort/teepee that was in the woods
They were probably there for hours
The kids had fun, but Jordan and I were not having any fun
No one talked to us or asked us to do any activities or games
I forgot a few cooking items and felt like a huge moocher when I asked Nee Nee or Amber for help
Billy kept asking to put away our food when I was and Kristy kept yelling at the boys to be careful around the fire. Everything felt so different than it used to when we went camping on Mt. Graham
Amber set up a quilt and we helped with that but no one even cared that we did that
Saturday night was supposed to be skit night, but no one did it; Billy lit the fire and people sat by it for a while and then left
Jordan and I sat by the fire talking about how horrible the last two days had been.
We felt really good about leaving
After having another horrible sleep night with Lottie we woke up Definitely ready to leave
We got the kids breakfast and then we started cleaning up. They did not understand at all why we were leaving, but they handled the news pretty well.
We stayed for the Sunday devotional Nee Nee put together. It was about missionary work. Everyone who had served a mission stood up and said where they went and one thing they learned. The kids got bored after about 10 minutes so I let them go play. Then Nee Nee wanted us to write letters or pictures to her Nephew, Kemron. We wrote them and pulled out lunch stuff which no one seemed to be ready for. It was weird. We ate and said good bye and left. Nee Nee seemed sad. We just told them we couldn't sleep another night with Lottie. We still need to tell her we aren't coming back next year.
Jaxon was the saddest, of course.
Jordan and I were very relieved the second we left. I just think we don't belong because we aren't family and everyone has their own grandkids now so they don't want to pay attention to us.
I'm sad but we'll just have to go camping with our own friends now.
Monday was much more relaxing being at home and we were able to be ready for school the next day.
Gemma and Lottie performed for me there own little show
Gemma just kept singing, "I don't really know......or care..lots of made up words.
It was entertaining!
Sister time! Gemma was actually sharing the iPad
And again..
I saw this cool experiment done with milk mixed with Dawn and then you add food coloring and the colors just start swirling and mixing. It was very cool.

They loved being able to squirt the food coloring..
until Gemma's turned brown

It came! Jordan is officially a Master!
Lottie's birthday morning
My baby is 2!! I let her open a present before the boys left for school
It was some new pant outfits
I wanted to take some pictures of her modeling the clothes and this is what I got.
It's like she knew she needed to be difficult because she was now 2.
We celebrated Lottie's birthday party on the 19th because we went with Connie to a scholarship banquet the night before. Kelly and Troy were able to be at the party!
Lottie showing off for all of us

Lottie's birthday cake-shoe party

Decorations courtesy of the Dollar Store-she loved it!
The cake was a lemonade cake with fresh strawberry buttercream
The frosting was really good!! I am not a big frosting person but the strawberry was so refreshing.
I will be using this recipe again
Lottie's Sunday outfit
Gma Leinbach made the owl skirt

So cute
She liked wearing it despite her faces
Lottie LOVES to swing!
She always wants underdog now.
She will swing for 20 mintues or more if no one is waiting
Proud if herself for standing on those bars

One Monday I saw a FB post from a local farmer that was opening her pumpkin patch to the town.
Grandma came with us and we got to cut our own pumpkins off the vine
The sunset was amazing!

They had this cute picture setup we took advantage of
They also had built a catapult that launched rotten pumpkins
The boys were fascinated with it and didn't want to leave-we probably waited for 10 minutes in the car before Kodee would hop in.
It was fun except the fact we got 2 already rotten pumpkins and the rest rotted over the month.
I think we picked them too soon and then left them on the porch in the hot sun.
Another pinterest craft for the win!
finger paint and tin foil wrapped in a ball
Gemma loved the finger paint part

Last visit from cousin Rhett for 2 years-Good luck in Spain, we are very proud of you!
Lottie is still not sure about teenage boys
After the huge rainstorm on Grandma's and grandpa's actual 50th anniversary we decided to release the gold star balloons later when the sky cleared up
It took the balloons quite awhile to get up in the sky and disappear

Here come the balloons for you dad!
Thatcher vs. Safford football game
It's been 8 years since we've been to a school game
Jordan wore white to be safe
Jaxon wore green and blue-he was rooting for Thatcher but Safford ended up winning-yeah buddy!

Choreo sesh with Heidi girl
It was a great dance day and the kids had lots of fun learning Heidi's dances.
They turned out really good
Go Heidi!

We finally finished it!!!!
Only 9 years in the making. Most of it was done during Jaxon's pregnancy, but the sky took forever to finish. So glad we can say it's completed!
Figuring out formations for Taste of Sound. These kids are hard workers- and so much fun!

Ice Cream social night. The kids had a BLAST!

Playing games at the ice cream social
