Jurassic Park World and Cartoon land (Universal Studios)

Next we were on to Jurassic Park! It was so cool. Jurassic Park had a lot of hype this year with the new Jurassic World just coming out in theaters before this. It was just like walking into the old school Jurassic Park from the 90's complete with the Discovery Center.

Ari was feeling REALLY whoozy when we got here but she put on a brave face.

Cheesy pose with the infamous car that was crushed by the T Rex in the movie.

We saw this in the gift shop and immediately thought of Jaxon. We were really tempted to buy this for him. Sad to say but lately he's been a real Grumposaur. We'll chalk it up to the move and life's transitions.

The bones hanging in the center.

This was pretty cool. Downstairs they had a lab, just like in the movie, and this actor was walking around pretending to harvest the eggs and hatch them. He was very dedicated to his character. I think he really believed what he was doing.

The lightings bad, but these dinosaurs were pretty awesome.

Epic T Rex peeking through the trees. Did not have time to wait in line so we just snapped this pic.

Time to ride the Jurassic Park ride. It was awesome. Had a big drop at the end like Splash mountain. The beginning of the ride was all peaceful and beautiful, but then things went wrong just like the movie and all havoc broke loose. Right before the drop the T Rex swoops down as if to eat us. Pretty cool!

Feeling drenched, but welcomed this! It was SO HOT!

We to go to the Cartoon World after Jurassic Park. Since we were already wet, we hit up Dudley Doo Right's Rip Saw Falls. It was fun, another rip off of Splash Mountain. Not our favorite ride of the day.

We took this picture of Betty Boop because it was a cool shop, and the real Betty was out in front, and it was her Betty's favorite character when they were growing up.
Time for the Popeye rapids ride. This was the most soaking ride EVER! Literally everyone was drenched. I thought the details of the ride were cute and very cartoony. One of the longest lines of the day and we were HOT. Guess it was good we got wet again!

Here we are, entering comic strip/Marvel land. Still soaking wet. . . and maybe chaffing a little? ha ha

Check out the Hulk roller coaster down there. That was definitely on my bucket list!

The Spider Man ride was AWESOME! Definitely one of the high lights of the day. It reminded me a lot of the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland, but with more CGI flight simulation.

At last- The Hulk! And I talked Ari into getting into the line with me! The skies were looking pretty stormy, but we waited anyway. When we were just about to get on the ride, the overhead speaker announced that the ride may shut down due to inclement weather. Wouldn't you know, it happened right before it was our turn, so we decided not to wait it out in the line, but get on over to Hogwarts Express to ride on over to Diagon Alley on the other side of the park. I was really bummed because I've heard this is one of the best rides in the country! I still knew I had to head back and ride this before the end of the day. . . .

As we were walking over to the train station, the skies were SO cool and SO dark. Ari saw this pretty flower and wanted a picture with it.
I thought we should snap a quick picture of the cool "Lost World" rocks and the waterfall/mouth guy. We didn't have time to spend around here. Maybe next time. . .
