Pre-Spring Break "regain some sanity" spur-of-the-moment Tucson Trip

One Saturday morning, Jordan decided we should drive to Tucson that day. We left about 3 in the afternoon for a night of fun. First stop-Colossal Cave. Colossal Cave is in the outskirts of Tucson. We got the last tour of the day. This is Jaxon's "I'm nervous about going into a dark cave, but trying to smile too" smile.  He really is scared of the unknown.

The tour guide said the cave is 70* year round, but holding a cranky Gemma, it felt a lot warmer. Towards the end Jordan got really weird and probably claustrophobic. He got really warm and anxious. Luckily, the tour was almost done. WE made it!
We could only take a few pics. It was a really cool cave. A few scary, thin strips of walking space and low hanging rocks.

After a really long wait for dinner at Macayos we headed over to a fun mini golf place. Gemma tried to hit the ball maybe three times, but then she just held her ball and club really tight the rest of the holes. Which is awesome because i wondered if she was going to throw all our balls in the water.
Golfing with little kids is pretty rushed!

Besides the creepy glowing eyes this is a great picture showing so much love. After golf we had a few tokens so we split up and played some games. I always stick to good ole SkiBall. When we put our tickets together it was a measly 35 or so and then as the boys were choosing their prizes an older guy handed us 100 more. Score! More crap for the house! Nah, that was super nice and the kids got these spinning tops that actually work. We ended the night with the go carts which was the WRONG thing to do. We knew Kodee was short by about 2 inches to ride, but we just kept in line hoping they would let it slide. Kodee was super excited and when we got up to the worker and measured Kodee he was really strict on the rules (which he should be). I don't think we've ever seen Kodee so devastated before. He just cried and cried while I pulled him away from the line. He was genuinely sad, not whiny tantrum throwing crying. I tried so hard to get his mind off of it and show him his cool top. He did really well especially for every time Jordan and Jaxon would drive by they would wave and say something. Anyway, lesson learned. Save the fun things for LAST! We pulled into the house around 12;30 or so with early church the next day. The kids did really well and we all survived. Thanks Jordan for being so manic!
