Putting up the tent
Janeen brought bug boxes for the kids to paint. The older boys got grasshoppers, bees, and a blue bellied lizard! Jaxon's grasshopper was named Charlie.
Nee-nee's famous banana pudding parfait. Jordan got some this year. He was a happy camper!
The boys loved these three girls. Kodee was called the ladies man this trip.
Macey, Zara, and Ashlynn
The bell of the ball. She did really well the whole time-probably because she was always being held

Jaxon carried these three items around all weekend. Flashlight-check, robot-check, bug box with Charlie-check!

Ariel and Zane came up for a day!

Zane and Jaxon
Plenty to do outside makes for happy boys!
Jaxon built houses out of the rocks. Right after this we had a primary lesson on the creation. Jordan asked Jaxon what his favorite creation was and he answered, "Gemma." Awe!
Plenty of time for a good nap! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
Getting ready for steak and corn on the cob!
What a good daddy!

Jordan was so good and played several games with the kids
Jax and Hayden in front of the "Billy" sized fire
Kodee was in a daze and kept putting his finger up his nose and holding there
Three person tug of war
The boys playing together nicely
Plenty of girls to hold Gemma the whole weekend- Ashlynn
Macey
Brooklyn
Karen
The kids love their Nee-Nee

After we got home-poor Kodee got so carsick on the way
Ariel gave Gemma a bath and she was happy as can be
The only downer to the weekend was early monday morning a skunk came into camp and he was sick or had rabies. We're pretty sure it sprayed around because the smell was the worst thing I've ever smelled!!!! The smell kept waking me up, but it was still dark so I forced myself back to sleep. Around 6am one of the men shot the skunk and woke us all up. He said the skunk was having crazy seizures and had to get rid of it. They buried it right there which ended up being about 15 feet from our pop-up. No wonder it smelled so awful! I'm sure we have all smelled a skunk driving on the highway, but this was so much worse. I describe it as a very chemical smell first and then it turns rancid like rotten potatoes. Yuck! So when we got home all of our stuff smelled like campfire and skunk. Not my favorite combo.
It was hard to come back to reality, but alas, here we are plunking out our everyday duties and responsibilities. Thanks for the good times Nee-Nee and Billy and everybody else!
