Potty Training 2.0

Here we go again. We started trying to potty train Jaxon back in October/November. As you can probably his interest didn't last and it's been a constant battle to get that boy on the pot ever since. No matter how many flashy pairs of Cars chonies we tried to bribe, he was not bitin'. Well, Ari's been waiting for me to be done with school so I can help her with the much needed, long overdue process. We've been going strong this week, and things are looking up. Jaxon had a perfect day on Tuesday with no accidents. Wednesday, there were two accidents. Thursday, two accidents. And this morning he pooped his pants- NOT READY FOR THAT! But, we totaled it up and in the last 4 days he's gone to the potty 21 times! That's pretty amazing. We find it helps if we don't pants on him, but just leave him in his underwear, then he remembers to go. The accidents usually happen when he's wearing shorts or pants. We're really hoping that it's going to work this time- and HOPEFULLY he'll be fully potty trained sometime by next week. Here's wishin'!

Oh by the way- tons has happened since Ari's Mayflower sickness post. Both of us were sick as dogs. I'm convinced I had mono too, but never went to the doctor to be officially diagnosed since there's really nothing they can prescribe for it. We're both on the tail end of colds/dang allergies/never been so annoyingly sick in our lives. But we're really hoping for a healthy summer!

Good luck with this little project. Some kids sure make it a challenge, don't they?

We wish you all the luck in the world with the potty training. Our oldest was a solid 3 1/2 and the second one, who is now well into being 4, is just now deciding he'll humor us. SO FRUSTRATING. Hopefully Jaxon will see the light and embrace the wonderfulness of the potty. Teaming up on him is a good idea. :-)
