The Thompson's Come To Safford!

Hooray! Our long awaited Thompson visit finally went down! We're so glad they penciled us in on their calendar back in May. The Thompson/Keith relationship is pretty funny. We were in the Chandler Ray 1st Ward for about 3 months. We loved our time there, but realistically that is in no way shape or form time to bond to the extent that we have bonded. The other day Chad said, "You were only in the ward for 3 months? No way, Stacy and I could not be this good of friends with you guys if you only lived there for three months." But it's true. RIght Chaddy Paddy?

The day started out with excitement as the Thompson's traveled on over our way. When they got to Bylas, there was an unexpected call. Chad's boss called and said he needed him their in Chandler the next morning. We're so glad they decided to drive the last half hour and meet up with us in Safford. We were pretty bummed that it was going to be a much shorter trip than previously expected, but tried to make the most out of it. They said they wanted to go somewhere very "Saffordy" for lunch, so of course we had to take them to Casa Manana. Dude, their new kalua pulled pork tacos on the luau menu are out of this world. In fact, I'm craving 'em like crazy right now. My stomach is rumbling. I'm gonna try to talk Adam into keeping them on the menu.

The wheels got to turning during dinner, and while it was sad we had to say bye to Chad, I thought. . .why don't we have Stacy stay, and we'll drive her up to Chandler that weekend? We'd been wanting to get up there and visit Yasser and Emily anyway. So, we offered, she accepted, and wallah, we had ourselves a longer stay with Stace and Grace. We wanted Jaxon and Gracie to get some good play time as well. Chad, we really were bummed to not have you there, so next time, you gotta figure out how to stay and hang.

While Stacy was here we went swimming to the Pima pool, had an awesome picnic up on Mt. Graham, watched SYTCD, and had great conversation. They really are an awesome family and we're glad we're friends with you.

Here are some of our highlights.
