Thursday my parents were kind enough to watch the boys for us while Ari and I squeezed in a temple session. The spring flowers were so beautiful! We loved it! It was so good to get back to that blessed building. I can't wait for the Gila Valley Temple!!
Later that day we went up with Joanna to meet David and the brand new Potato Shed out in Eloy. It's awesome.
Friday was friend day. First we had our Kodee picture experience (rrgh) then we took the boys to a place we used to visit in my childhood: Kiwanis Park. It's a big wave pool at a Rec Center out in Tempe. It was fun to go. Jax was freaked out at first, but then loved it! I think he'll love the wave pool even more when he can swim on his own.
It really is a nice indoor pool in the heart of the valley that not many know about. If you have a chance to go. You should try it out. It was only 4 bucks, and they boys were free. There's water slides too.
After that we met up with Chad and Stacy and their daughter Grace. We had a great time visiting and eating at Chile's. We love that we were only in their ward for about 3 and half months, but we're keeping our friendship alive.
Jaxon had fun playing with Tag over at Jim and Kim's. I think they could be quite the buds if they were around each other more often.
Kodee is getting stronger and stronger everyday! I seriously have never met a happier baby.
Saturday was my big all-state day. I had kids coming for Middle School All-State Festival, and they were practicing for their big concert all day. Then I had high school kids coming up to try out for the High School's All-State Choir. Out of the 6 I had try out. . .4 made it!! I'm so proud of them! They're going to love being in that choir! I was in it all four years of high school and they're some of my best high school memories.
After the Middle School concert it was back to Safford.
On Sunday Ari and Jaxon got to show off their spiffy new Sunday outfits. It was nice to get to shop a little for them up in the valley. My wife loves her some pink! We thought it was pretty eastery. I have to admit I picked it out for her.
Our little boy is looking SO grown up!! Just today he helped carry in the groceries. He had a hard time holding the orange juice jug and making the door step, but after two falls he eventually got it. Never gave up!
Now that Spring Break was over it was time to get ready for concert week. . .
