Jaxon Goes to Fair!!

Mrs. T, that title is made to purposely bug you:) Well, fair came to town this weekend and we got all "faired" out. It was pretty intense. There was a buzz the whole week in school with the excitement and the anticipation the students were feeling for fair to come. I also have to admit I was looking forward to the 4 day weekend!! Thursday was a crazy day. The kids were just so hyper, so I couldn't help but get excited myself. I was so pumped for Jaxon to get to ride some rides and have the "fair experience." We ended up going on Friday afternoon/evening. Jaxon loved the loud crowd, the rides, and the food. I (Jordan) ended up riding all the rides with him so it took double the tickets. His favorite was the choo choo train. He threw a fit when we had to get off. It was pretty funny seeing me squeeze into one of the carts with him. I had to hold his head to look at the camera, he was going CRAZY with excitement.

I also took him through a fun house/glass maze. It was pretty sad because he kept bumping into the glass and couldn't figure out the maze.
I couldn't help myself and had to ride one of the "big boy" rides. The Experience is the new big deal at our fair and I had to try it out. It's pretty crazy. It flings you around every which way possible. I forgot how sick fair rides can make you feel. Another one of Jaxon's favorites was the Bouncy House.

He LOVED it! In fact, he loved it so much he took a big poop while he was jumping around. It was indeed a 12 wipey wipe-up.

After grabbing some yummy green chile burros we went to the EAC Company show. My nephew Kaleb was in it, and they did a great job. Kaleb's quite the ham, and Dr. Bishop seemed glad Ari and I were there.

Poor Ari.
She just had to waddle around the fair grounds. (I was secretly hoping we could walk the baby out. . . didn't happen.) I just think her body is to warm and comfy for any baby to want to come out, and she'll always have to be induced. She was a trooper to sit on those hard wooden benches and watch the shows.

Saturday was Safford High's day at the fair. We performed that evening and it rained right up until the second song started. I think we did as good as we could have due to the weather and the lousy sound equipment. The fair is just not made to be an outstanding performance. The good news is the kids made it through the whole thing without stopping. They had HUGE smiles on their faces, and they really sold their performance. That's all we were going for. Now the concert on the 29th will be SPECTACULAR, cause I know we'll be all ready for it.

Jaxon had a great day today playing with all of the Innes' kids at Lamar's homecoming get together.
Sarah's kids are beyond adorable.

Little Malin might be the cutest little boy ever!
As you can see, Jax is quite the ladies man. I'm going to have Ryan come by the school this week and due a little shnazzy performance for the kids to get them excited about pursuing music in their lives.

Jaxon once again has had a huge "growing" week. He will not stop meowing now, and is obsessed with babies. Imagine that. He says baby all the time and when he sees one, is mesmerized. Here he is in front of are awesomely blooming flowers!!
As far as we know, Ari will hopefully be induced around Wednesday or Thursday. We'll be sure to keep you posted!!

Ciao!

Ah, the memories ... that is a fun fair. We went 28 years ago when Rob was one week old and Mariah got quite the hairdo thanks to Jill. They were in our two place stroller with Jill in the back. We looked down and she had smeared caramel all through Rye's hair. It was so funny, wish we had been able to take a pic.
