The camera and the snow

Here's a post of our snowy Mt. Graham trip and a funny story to go along with it. So, back in October we thought our digital camera quit working on us. It was right before Halloween so we didn't get any pics of Jax in his cute baby duck costume. So, for Christmas we wanted to get a digital camera. In the mean time we've been using a ghetto disposable cardboard camera (hence the quality of these pics.) We finally got that film developed in the old school way, and then when we got home we got out our new digital camera and messed around with it. I put the old batteries from our old camera in it and the new one wouldn't work. Hmmm, so I put new batteries in the new camera and it worked fine. Then I got to thinking. . . .smart me. I put new batteries in our old camera and IT WORKED! How dumb are we? We just had some faulty batteries and we thought out camera was junk. So word to the wise, before you jump to conclusions, makes sure your camera doesn't just need new batteries.

Ok so for Mt. Graham, as you can see Jax was sure happy to be in the snow. You can tell the play by play how the whole lip incident happened. The ice was so slick and when I was walking behind him on the sled, my legs went whoosh and he went kerplunk! This is the first time we've ever seen Jax bleed. Kinda shocking. At the end you can see he still smiles though. What a tough guy we have.
